Hala Leaves – One Dozen
Hala leaf comes from a tree common in Hawaii. We use the smaller, young leaves to add foliage to Hawaiian flower arrangements. They are long with a variegated center of yellow and light green.
The larger leaves of the hala tree are woven to make lauhala baskets and other items. The large, partially edible fruit contains sections used for traditional lei making.
This tall, firm leaf will enrich any Hawaiian flower arrangement. The yellow and green color are especially beautiful. Some people like to make a chevron cut at the top when arranging hala leaves with flowers.
Cut flowers ship Monday through Thursday other than holidays.
