Considering the enormous popularity of our orchid of the month membership we are offering a selection of live orchid plants shipped directly from our growers on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Live orchids are perfect for the home or office, as a gift, or to decorate tables at a wedding or party. They are also used as unique wedding favors to be given to members of the wedding party.

We have selected orchids with long lasting blooms and those that are easiest to care for. Our basic orchid is the dendrobium. These are used in our lei making and for our loose orchid blossoms. However our live orchid plants offer a larger variety of shapes and colors and your assortment will contain a mix. The dendrobiums are popular because they bloom again and again.

We also offer 'exotic' orchids which include oncidium, brassia, compact cattleya and others according to the season and availability. Many are unique as a result of crosses created by our grower/scientists.

A recent addition is the elegant Lady Slipper orchid.

Our grower will select plants that are early in their blooming cycle so that the flowers can be enjoyed immediately and for up to 4 to 6 weeks when the simple care instructions are followed.

Orchids are shipped by FedEx 2-Day service and are packed to stay fresh during shipping. Easy to follow care instructions are included along with your personlized gift note if requested. Your shipment is guaranteed against damage during shipping so long as someone signs for the package.

All live orchids include free shipping.

Insulation can be added at checkout and will help with shipments going to areas with temperatures below 45 degrees. Insulation is $5 and need only be added once regardless of the number of plants.

Standard Dendrobium

These are table top plants ranging from 16" - 24" tall with 6 to 10 buds per spike. The plants will have double spikes and are shipped in 4" pots.

Miniatures and First Bloomers

These smaller plants are 8" - 15" tall with 4 to 9 buds per spike. They are perfect for centerpieces or for party and wedding favors to take home. If you need specific colors to match your plans please call well in advance of your event.

Exotic Orchids

Exotic orchids can include brassia, oncidiums, cattleya or others according to seasonal availability. They are perfect for a beginner to start a collection with a lot of variety and interest. They require similar care to the dendrobiums and fare well in a home or office environment. Many are unique to our hybrider. Grower's choice of colors and species.

This is a grower's choice combination of standard dendrobiums and exotics as described above.

Lady Slipper Orchids (Paphiopedilum)

Grown higher on Kilauea Volcano our Lady Slipper orchids have a long lasting bloom in various colors. We send single bloom plants from 10" to 15" tall. Over time they will rebloom and develop more stems per plant. They are easy to care for and make an extra special wedding favor as the stems are sometimes used in more elegant wedding bouquets.
